Ravi Kumar, manager of a donut outlet feels donuts gives people a valid reason to enjoy their dessert.
“We offer customers space for get-togethers, parties as well as official meetings. On request, we also serve a donuts cake with extra icing and toppings for birthdays.”
Donut stores double up as coffee shops with people hanging out over donuts and coffee. Akansha Minz loves donuts saying: “I feel my meal is incomplete without donuts. I love all types of donuts. I am partial to those with liquid chocolate filling and chocolate topping. My friends in college and I enjoy donuts as they are affordable and also you get many flavours in one box.” For all who think donuts are a new entry in the market, there quite a few venerable bakeries selling them.
V.F. David, from Fatima Bakery on Hosur Road says, “We have been selling donuts for the past 40 years. We have three varieties — sugar-coated, jam and chocolate donuts. Our donuts are soft and a great hit among the young and old.”
